Trip report on Masterton recreation trails. 15th September 2024
There are approximately 20ks of trails around Masterton – on a grey Sunday morning five of us set off to travel around along the river to the new bridge and back towards Henley Lake.
As the walk progressed the weather brightened up considerably so we walked along Gordon Street up Nikau Heights down past the golf club ending up at Dish for a well deserved coffee and pie.
We enjoyed seeing the spring flowers and black swan cygnets on the lake.
Various figures were given for the kilometres walked but the consensus by the time we returned to the car park it was about 14ks.
The walkers were Viv, Ron, Nathan, Denise and Brenda.
